Content:

Listening and questioning are one of the basic building blocks of effective communications. A small amount of training and coaching can make a significant difference to individual skill levels. Questions and listening are considered by many one of the the most important parts of communication.

As part of the workshop we consider the reasons we often don't listen as well as we could and what we can do about it. Before we know what question to ask we need to know what information we want. We look at a number of approaches to questions starting with creating the simplest questions to get the information we want. We consider the impact of "clean" questions when we want to elicit information and "tag" questions when we want to influence. We explore when and when it is not appropriate to ask "why" questions and how questions lead people into different emotional states.

Any team who are genuinely interesting in improving their questioning and listening skills. Attendees must have a degree of openness and honesty.
